How To Art Journal

Art Journaling is a nourishing wellness practice of creative personal expression.

Step 1

In the first video, I introduce art journaling, and then I get you started! Step one is to tear out images. You will need a pile of magazines or catalogs that you’re happy to tear up.

Step 2

In the second video, I will show you how I collage and glue to form a base layer. You’ll start with your pile of torn images and ephemera, and you’ll need to have a journal or base and an adhesive. (See the supply list for more information).

Step 3

In the third video, I will give you tips for how to transform your collage into a piece of personal artistic expression. You’ll start with your now-dry, glued-down collage, and have the opportunity to use whatever art supplies you enjoy! I tend to use acrylic paint, and I always have handy some paint brushes, a water dish, paper towel, and wax paper.

I hope these videos plant seeds to begin your own art journaling practice!
